Trefriw Mill, near Conwy, Wales
A Romans spa and the Trefriw Woolen Mill were built in Trefriw because of the Crafnant River. Its iron rich water was first utilized by the Romans in a spa for its therapeutic properties. The woolen mill exploits its fast flowing soft water for washing wool and turning the water wheels that helped power the mill.

The most scenic part of the river is the Fairy Falls that sits a short walk behind the woolen mill.
