Malaysia

If you climb to the top of Mount Kinabalu in Borneo, will be on a low peak (Yes or No)?

No, you will actually be on Low’s Peak.

Low's Peak, Malaysia
The real attraction of northern Borneo is the scenic wonder of Mt. Kinabalu. At 4,093 meters (13,425 feet), it is an impressive site as it rises out of the jungle. Mt. Kinabalu is the highest mountain in Southeast Asia. We found it and ourselves literally enshrouded in clouds, even though we only climbed to a scenic overlook. The dense jungle here made finding a clear vantage point difficult. The jungle here is beautiful and this mountainous region is known for its orchids and pitcher plants. Climbing to the top of Mt. Kinabalu takes two to three days. This is a popular activity with around 30,000 hikers successfully reaching the top of the somewhat ironically named Low’s Peak each year.
