Where was America's 2nd National Park?

If you guessed Mackinac Island, you'd be right. Arch Rock is the island's best-known natural wonder. In 1875 the arch prompted Mackinac Island being designated a National Park, America's second.
The National Park system did not exist at that time. So, it turned into a State Park in 1895 to be better cared for.

Skull Cave is another natural wonder in the park and natives used it as a burial site. In 1763, there was a successful Indian uprising in the area.
One of the very few survivors was hidden by a friendly Indian in this cave, where by his own description he spent the night trying to sleep on a bed of skulls.
